Biography
An extremely popular household name, Gemma's best known for her love and dedication to health and fitness, her quick wit and dry sense of humor on the radio, her love of animals and their welfare as well as her passion for family, encouraging a healthy, happy and balanced lifestyle.
Host of weekdays on Hits Radio Drive Time, Gemma's a firm favourite on the airwaves and now hosts her own podcast 'The Overshare with Gemma Atkinson', the first series reaching number 1 in the Apple Podcast charts with over 500k downloads and over 11 million impressions on the podcast's social accounts. Series 2 is about to begin! In 2023/24 Gemma and her partner Gorka Marquez filmed two hugely popular Docuseries for W Channel UKTV with their family, 'Life Behind the Lens' packed with honest, relatable, unfiltered family moments.

Gemma first gained national recognition as an actress starting as a series regular in C4's 'Hollyoaks', playing controversial character Lisa Hunter from 2001-2006. Her next series regular role was playing Paramedic Tamzin Bayle in BBC's 'Casualty' 2011-14. She then moved to ITV's Emmerdale to play Carly Hope from 2015-2017 for which she was NTA nominated for 'Best Newcomer'. Gemma then danced her way to the final of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in December 2017!
